Bottle fizz experiment

For week five in lockdown we had a task to do.

it was to do an experiment with a bottle, some vinegar, a balloon and baking soda.

First we had to pour some vinegar into the bottle.

Next we had to pour the baking soda in the balloon.

we chose to heat the vinegar and poured it in the bottle.

after that we tipped the baking soda in and it fizzed up.

the baking soda goes into the vinegar and fizzes up the gas and fills the balloon.

  1. Kia ora Cillian,

Great to see you thinking safety first with your safety glasses on. I really enjoyed reading your quality blog post and thought it was interesting that you heated up the vinegar. Did you notice a difference to the reaction when you did this? I would love to know. Ka pai.

  2. Talofa lava Cillian ,
I like your safety googles. Maybe next time you could have crushed the baking soda before you put it in the ballon.
