Mother's Day card

For mothers day we made cards by weaving string through sheets of paper cards. I ended up having to tie some knots at the back because I ran out of string. Down below there is a photo of my card. I found weaving the string through the paper tricky. Have you made something like this before

Abraham and Sarah Role play

We where learning about abraham and sarah. We had to make a video of an interview or some other things, like making a poem of the journey or a google slide animation. I was droping family off at the airport so I wasn't there. but I also at lest wrote some of the script. Enjoy!

Holy week

On holy week we were learning about Jesus's sacrafice. On the first sunday of lent it was palm sunday. The people in jeruselem spread thier cloaks on the road shouting "Hosana in the highest!" on the second sunday it was Jesus's last supper with his diciples. On the third sunday Jesus went to a hill with some of his diciples he prayed to God, while he prayed the diciples fell asleep and he was caught and crucified. Jesus's friends came to see if he was there and he was not. he had risen on the last sunday. The girls came to the diciples and said "he is risen!" and he appeared right in the room with them.

Goal setting 2021

In term one we had to set some goals. They were all about what we wanted to get better at. There was a R.E. goal about what we wanted to get better at in being near god. We also had a social goal to fill in. next we had a learning disposition goal. It was about the people on the Horouta waka that we wanted to be more like. lastly we had a acedemic goal to fill in.

Horouta waka animation

When we were learning about the Horouta waka we had a task to do. It was a animation about where the Horouta waka landed and the journey. The waka sailed from hawaiki to the north island at ohiwa. When they were near the shore they hit a sand bar and the front of the boat broke so the waka couldn't sail properly. Paoa and kiwa went to look for something to fix it with. They found some flax and floated it down the river. They wrapped it round the front of the boat to fix it. They unloaded the waka and decided to live there. This is my animation Enjoy!

Whale art

In the past few weeks we have been doing whale watercolour art. We read a book about the legend of the seven whales and we based the art on the story. The first part of the story was about a maori god who the other animals were afraid to even say his name. The God knew the past and the future. For the art we had to sketch a whale. We had to pratice on a scrap piece of paper. then we had to sketch the whale we chose on paper card. Next we had to use water colour and paint the background. After that we painted the whale and used white and painted the whales chin. This is my piece of art work. Enjoy!

Facts about sailfish

On sea week we made some slides about sea creatures. We got to choose what sea creature we wanted to write about. I chose a sailfish because I thoght it would be an interesting creature. These are my slides about sailfish. Enjoy!
